From emailed manifests to a data-driven terminal

Vessel manifests used to arrive by email less than 24 hours before arrival. Today Kristiansund Base receives them through integrations with carriers such as North Sea Container Line up to two weeks ahead. Changes update the yard plan automatically, and when a vessel enters the geofence, transport orders go straight to the terminal trucks and on to the haulier.

  • 22% faster vessel turnaround
  • 63% less administrative communication
  • 2 of 3 manual arrival processes automated
  • 1.5 h saved per vessel for NCL
“Kristiansund Base is the most modern and innovative harbour we collaborate with.”

Havinor: one digital roundabout for Norwegian ports

It started as a tender for a terminal operating system in Tromsø. In the first workshop, the port and FourPro drew something bigger: one shared platform where port authorities, shipping agents, service providers and government systems exchange information – without replacing the systems each party already uses. Bodø and Harstad have since joined, with support from the Norwegian Coastal Administration.

“Havinor gives us a digital roundabout that distributes information structured throughout the value chain.”
Christian Rikardson, CFO, Port of Tromsø
Offshore supply bases · since 2020

Four supply bases, one operational picture

ASCO and FourPro have worked together since 2020, and the platform now runs on four of ASCO's supply bases in Norway: Tananger, Farsund, Sandnessjøen and Mosjøen. Data from surrounding systems comes together in one operational dashboard where staff can act directly, with two-way integrations keeping the other systems in step.

The project was established with the ambition of making supply base operations more efficient and environmentally friendly with up to 80% reduction in truck time at the bases and 20% reduction in vessel time at berth.

“FourPro has strong logistics expertise, in addition to technology understanding and development capabilities. This enables us to have good discussions about what we want to achieve.”
Roy Arne Rygh, Supply Chain Manager, ASCO

Frank Tony Arnesen, COO, Barents NaturGass
